Executive Summary

We developed Samaria to help Christians discover and participate in digital faith-based communities. And while we initially wanted to build a discovery engine and an immersive conferencing experience, we had less than $100 per month. But, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Product management, after all, is the art of finding simple solutions to complex problems.

As a product manager and founder, I had to stretch myself. I engaged in cross-functional activities such as content marketing, copywriting, product management, recruitment, drafting contracts, and so on.

After all the work over the course of over one year, the project is live. It is a self-funded passion project, and I can not continue working on it at this time. Hence, I have decided to get a job. The purpose of this case study is to show my skills as a product manager on a live, self-funded project.

On this project, here are the skills I developed and honed.
